I would be ok with Allen but you are going to have to take back 1 or 2 goalies.

I'd take Mrazek's rights in return. That way we can pass on Ward and just re-sign him

That doesn't help the Flyers. We already recoup our 2019 3rd from DET for not resigning Mrazek. We need to clear goalie space for Hart in the AHL which means either Elliott or Neuvy has to go or even both if we acquire a goalie.

Mrazek is an RFA. To keep his rights you'd have to offer a 10% increase in pay from his prior contracted salary which is over $ 4 million. If you're looking for a timeshare in goal, Elliott as a St. Louis fan should know is the better option here.

I agree. I'd rather have Elliott of the 3 anyway, but I just question if he would even want to come back to share the crease again.

He's sharing the crease in Philly if he stays to be with Allen. Simmonds and Elliott for Tage Thompson and Jake Allen. I like it.

I think i'd rather take a chance on Neuvirth. Just to see what he could do for a year. Unfortunately, i don't see Hutton resigning

The only way I see Hutton resigning is if we trade Allen and let Hutton be 1A. Which works perfectly here as Hutton is 1a and we know that Elliott can be a great 1b.

You can certainly have Neuvirth. I don't see why Hutton wouldn't stay if he was competing for starts with Neuvirth or Elliott.

He would only be here for a year and would not really have to "share" the crease. Husso would be the for sure backup barring and injury or something miraculous. Allowing him to get like 20 starts and groomed into the NHL for the following year.

It's more or less because someone will pay him bigger bucks elsewhere than what the Blues would offer him. That's my reasoning.

Possibly. He's a bit risky to commit big dollars and term to.

That Flyers trade isn't going to happen. As mentioned we have too many goalies in the system so we aren't going to trade one away to bring one in unless it is a significant upgrade (Allen is not imo). If you want Simmonds it's going to start with a top prospect or your 2019 1st rounder.
