Jacob Trouba as you so put top 2 defence in the nhl for a 3rd and 4th liner of an AHL lineup. And a 2nd round draft pick??? Not a true value trade. Love the optimism though.

I think you need to re-examine the Trouba deal. Trouba is their Rielly. They would either want Rielly (opposite hands) or Nylander or Marner. Not sure I see why the Leafs would bother with that.

I would target Vatanen. Many people think the asking price could be a 50-60 point F. Kadri sign and trade or JVR would fit the mold of what they want. I`d think if it`s JVR the ducks may have to add a bit. If it`s Kadri vice versa??

Those RFA resignings are extremely low in salary. Many other teams would have offer sheets higher than that.

I would have to disagree a bit. I don`t think anyone will even think of handing an offer sheet to Franky, Martin, Sparks, Carrick or Holland. Teams will kick the can on Trouba or Mogan but I also doubt it. These contracts will very likely be in the mid $5m range though.

Kadri isn`t my favourite player. $5m max or get rid of him.
