Come on now are we being PUNKED!!!!!

How could you actually think when you included the pieces in the ROR trade that this makes sense. Just a general breakdown of your trade for ROR:

1. You are getting a legit #2C some would argue a #1C that will consistently score 50+ points, be a monster in the dot, play PK & PP and be a stalwart in his defensive zone;

2. Not one of the pieces you send to Buffalo has demonstrated that they belong in the NHL or even close to being in the NHL;

3. Highmore was not drafted and has shown an ability to score in the AHL..... so he would fit nicely in Rochester for a year or two;

3. Forsling is a 5th Round pick who had 41 games with Chicago last year.... looks like a 3rd pair Dman at this point in his career;

4. The draft picks are 2018 3rd Round pick and a 1st Round pick in 2019....... really;

There is no way that GMBots would trade a top asset for ROR....... this has to be a joke.

Apparently the trade was changed, what is your current evaluation of this trade?

Carolina is an overpayment, BUF is an underpayment, but MTL trade is interesting

The change in the trade is much improved but I would still be a no......

For me to get to yes my guess is that Chicago would say no but this is what it would take for me to get to YES:

ROR
2020 3rd Round Pick
Rights to Nicholas Baptiste

for

Schmaltz
DeBrincat
2019 First Round Pick
2018 Third Round Pick

Thank you for your reply.
So DeBrincat instead of Hillman?
I agree this trade current is very close to reasonable which made me Huh? wonder what you were saying, and I agree a MUCH better prospect has to be added
I would also take Baptiste and the pick out of the trade, they do not add much anyway. I was reminded recently of how successful Baptiste was playing with McDavid. I would like to see Nick traded to Edmonton. Chiarelli may see the value of getting a RW who had chemistry with Connor for cheap, maybe Bear?

I would do Baptiste for Bear in a NY minute..... i would also do Baptiste for Caleb Jones as well.

Yes DeBrincat over Hillman for the Sabers..... LHD looks like the pipeline has been replenished with the addition of Pilut, Nelson et al.... so I would want that LW as we are drastically deficient on the left side...... I have no problem dropping Baptiste and the draft pick.

Go to here and check out this trade https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/725815
I would make it in a heart beat. IMO Buffalo needs to add, but I am not a very good judge of talent.

MTL giving up the 2 best assets of the trade. No chance. Try Galchenyuk + 2nd for Saad + 1st 2018 (CHI)
