3 Team Trade With Arizona and LA (82 million Cap)

Created by: Arom5477
Team: 2018-19 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 11, 2018
Published: Jun. 11, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Details of the Trade:

PIT to LA: Phil Kessel + 2018 2nd round pick + 2019 2nd round pick ------(for)------> Tyler Toffoli + Tobias Rieder
LA to ARI: Gabriel Vilardi + Matt Roy + 2018 1st round pick + 2019 2nd round pick -------(for)-----> Nick Cousins + Richard Panik (with retention) + 2018 3rd round pick
ARI to PIT: Max Domi ------(for)------> Conor Sheary + Sam Miletic

Summed Up:

PIT Gets: Tyler Toffoli + Tobias Rieder + Max Domi
LA Gets: Phil Kessel + Nick Cousins + Richard Panik + 2018 2nd round pick + 2018 3rd round pick + 2019 2nd round pick
ARI Gets: Conor Sheary + Gabriel Vilardi + Matt Roy + Sam Miletic + 2018 1st round pick + 2019 2nd round pick

Notes:

PIT Gets: Three good, impact players. Also, they get Domi without giving up their 1st rounder (LA did that for them).
LA Gets: Their very high impact winger they've wanted, some average supplemental players, and some decent picks.
ARI Gets: A LOT of high ceiling prospects and picks to supercharge their rebuild, and an okay roster player that would bring winning experience to their locker room.

No way LA will part with Vilardi. He is an untouchable despite this trade really filling LA's scoring needs

You're joking, right? The Pens are so much deeper in this setup. Kessel is expendable. Accept it.

Ok its very sad if you cant understand this. Pens take a huge loss here.

    Pens Lose:
    Kessel (90 pts guy)
    2nd rnd pick
    2nd rnd pick
    Sheary (50 pts guy)
    Hagelin (30 pts guy)
    5th rnd pick
    Miletic (prospect)

    Pens Gain:
    Reider (30 pts guy)
    Domi (45 pts guy)
    Toffoli (40 pts guy)
    Beaulieu (bottom 6 D)
    5th rnd pick

I guess I can somewhat see the logic of the Kessel trade, but you totally botched the AZ - LA trade

LA gives up their top prospect, a first rounder, a second rounder, and goalie prospect for a third rounder two guys who barely break double digits. Not to mention LA potentially hands a division rival their potential future 1C.

LOL. Sheary barely broke 30pts this season playing roughly 65% with Crosby. Hagelin barely broke 30 pts....again; and probably won't be resigned. BUF values him.

And Kessel isn't a consistent 90 point player. If you look at all the data, this season was an anomaly.

Domi and Toffoli have high ceilings, are younger, and cheaper.

Look at the forward depth of this team. It is infinitely better. And if you sign Neal, it doesn't matter.

Take the Homer glasses off. And move past the personal attraction of Phil.

The only winners in this trade are the Arizona Coyotes. The LA Kings got screwed in this trade giving up many pieces and only bringing in a top line winger who is playing with elite wingers. Without other really good players, he won't perform as well (toronto).

By that logic: You’re saying Beaulieu is worse than Hunwick. And that Rieder is worse than Khunhackl and Simon. You must REALLY be a Homer. What a comedian you are.

And yes, Martin is a stretch. But I think he could return to third pairing form in PIT.

Kessel plus picks for toffoli??? that trade makes 0 sense, the pens should get a lot more than that for kessel without giving up any picks in addition to kessel.
