Love the look of this team. I don’t think the Carolina trade is very off base considering Skinner only has a year left, but that all depends on Steen waiving his NTC. Carolina appears to be stacked with young D so they might want a forward prospect instead.

For a second I thought that was Jaden Schwartz, and i thought, well that's interesting

then I realized it was Jordan Schmaltz, and I realized that is an easy no from Carolina

Would rather move Sobotka than Berglund. The Carolina trade would need to be Thompson instead of Schmaltz probably.

My thought process was Sobotka’s contract ends in two years which is also when Petro and Schenn are free agents. But I agree. Thompson or Kostin instead of Schmaltz would be much more likely

That's fair, but Berglund is just way better than Sobotka IMO and his contract is similar cost-wise. I personally would rather move Thompson than Kostin. I think Kostin's ceiling is way higher.
