You arent getting 2 1st round picks, 1 being sens own first, and Timmin and Kamenev. Sorry but Avs are not giving up that Sens pick, its weighted so much more based on the current situation with the Sens

Avs have the Sens on the ropes owning that pick, they will make them bleed to get that back

I think the habs would love to add a legit top C. And gally has kinda lost his value. But I get that you still like him. He’s a great sniper. Hasn’t learned how to play a 200 foot game at all though.

I agree. But the if the Avs can get Karlsson it would have to include Ottawa’s pick. He’s the best D in the league. And what happens if Ottawa (obviously not blowing it up) finishes 10th last or something. You never know.

I don’t think he’s worth a 10th plus but Edmonton traded Hall for Larson so... if they like Ceci, that’s the price.

Asking way too much for EK, thats more than what Vegas was offering for him....Avs wont be doign them any favours giving them their pick back. IF they want it back, they are going to have to take a discount in trade values to get it back. The fear of giving up jack hughes next year while the org is imploding...sorry to the Sens but they have to go through more pain no matter what.

To get karlsson yes their pick has to be included, but they arent giving up one of their best D Prospects, another 1st round pick, and a really good forward prospect who is ready for the NHL this year. Avs are not tearing down the future pipeline for them.

What a dumb excuse ive heard that so many times.. first off ceci is garbage and cant even defend I'd take Larsson over him any day of the week realistically ceci is worth a 3rd MAYBE a late 2nd that's it

Fair enough. Buff probably like bogo anyway. I think he’s brutal and a waste of 5m. But if you like him then sure.

Look at what the avs got for duchene. They will have ek Johnson Barrie Makar on RD. It’s the price they’d have to pay to get the best D in the world. And if you disagree on wanting to give up that much I don’t blame you. It’s a lot.

Larson is just as bad but ok. Either way let’s see what other “great moves” Edmonton will make.

just bc one GM made a bad trade doesnt mean other teams have to make a bad trade.
THe most I would give up for Karlsson is Barrie and the 1st round pick...other than that, Avs could just sit on it and take the decent offs of getting a Jack Hughes or anotehr one of the top fwds next year. They dont need EK to solve their D Core. They actually have a pretty solid one with EJ, Barrie, Zadorov, and GIard now...with Makar and Timmins on the way.

Thats how I see it...if They want their pick back, need to make it worth the avs wild

I agree. I don’t think the Avs need Karlsson. But don’t think they wouldn’t want him if it makes them a contender. But fair point.

oh absolutely he would take them over the top but they can still be a very good team regardless of trading for him. Sens are in a really tough spot right now, its just fascinating to speculate what they will do next to try to gain some positive momentum for once

I agree. The Sens are really in the ****. If I was Colorado I’d keep that pick and let them burn. Next year will be very good on the top end. Between Kakko and Hughes I think these guys will be top player in the league soon.

Duchene and a couple seconds probably doesn’t look as bad now. I feel for you man. Domi could turn it around. Hang in there
