Solid forward group, I like the youth in the bottom-six. Also like the decision to try and take another run with Lundqvist. I have a few issues here, though.
1. Shattenkirk > Faulk. They both do essentially the same thing (offense-focused RD/PP QB), but Shattenkirk does it better.
2. The roster limit is 23. Drop two players.
3. I'm iffy on Quinn Hughes on a second pairing straight out of the draft. Could work, but it could also fail miserably. I'd prefer to give him a year in the AHL.
4. The defensive credentials of that blueline are questionable. Lundqvist is gonna be busy.
5. That cap situation is really bad. Probably gonna lose Buchnevic as an RFA.
That said, this is a really solid way of taking one more shot with Lundqvist, which is probably a good idea. Who knows, maybe this is the team that breaks through for the cup a year after their window supposedly closed, like the Caps.
