Trading Karlsson for Weber would be worse than trading Subban for Weber

Nah. Because Subban plays 82 games. Weber's injury/age problems are worse than Karlsson's at the moment, but Subban is hale and hardy.

However..... taking the last few years of Weber's cap hit off MTL's books is a favor. Giving MTL a year of Karlsson os a favor. Lehkonen and a 2nd are not enough compensation. Asking for a 1st pick in the likely and hopeful event that Bergevin isn't crazy enough to pay a 35 year old EK 10M is insulting.

something I think MTL fans need to realize: don't act like everything is the end of the world. Dont put so much pressure on ur organization because it only will make things worse. Just relax and see how the games play out. Obviously moves should be made, but u never know the outcomes until the games get going. This Domi trade could work out real well...who knows

For MTL? Give me a break, Karlsson is a game changer, Weber is an injury prone bulky rhd with a hard slapper that never hits the net.

Yea, but circumstances are a bit different for Ottawa. Bergevin was just a plain fool for doing that trade. Ottawa on the other hand is kinda forced to trade Erik at this point.
