Rangers GM said that they would like to move up in the draft and improve their 9th overall selection and I read that Kevin Hayes might be involved in such deal and with MTLs need of C depth and unlikeliness of signing Tavares this deal would help MTL very much. And they would likely grab Kotkaniemi 9th overall which is where I see him going and one of Ds would be going to Edmonton 10th overall.

Kotkaniemi looks to go higher than #9 at this point. I don't think Montreal is willing to drop back that far without an overpayment on Rangers side. #5 or #6 is the lowest I would go.

It seems like Kotkaniemi wont drop past Chicago, though I do like the acquisition of Hayes

If that deal happens I would see draft going like this..

Dahlin (BUF)
Svecha (CAR)
Zadina (NYR)
Dobson/Bouchard/Boqvist (OTT) (with EK likely moving away they would like to acquire a top defender in the draft and they should go for RH option)
Tkachuk (ARI)
Hughes (DET)
Dobson/Bouchard/Boqvist (VAN) (Benning said he would like to choose a defender)
Wahlstrom (CHI)
Kotkaniemi (MTL after trade)
Dobson/Bouchard/Boqvist (EDM)

I see Boqvist actually dropping to EDM but we will see what will happen.

ahhhh I forgot about Wahlstrom, he seems to be slipping under the radar, not much talk about it. Well, we will see, hopefully Bergevin can pull something off

Yeah, but he is great goalscorer and.. I mean.. anybody from 3 to 10 overall could be anywhere in there. This draft is so deep on talent

Looking forward to it. Hopefully all teams get what they wanted and Bergevin can save his job (somehow)

I'd rather trade for Namestnikov than K. Hayes. He is no 1st center at all. And M. Perreault is a 3rd liner, as P. Danault.

Perreault is middle-6 C who is more offensive than Danault. Danault is shutdown type of C. And Hayes is soo much better than Namestnikov. Vlad had 40 points in 60 games playing with two of greatest players in the game. BTW JT Miller is almost point per game with them. JT Miller is better than Namestnikov and Hayes is better than Miller..

Either way, no a 1st center.
