Having 10 total picks and 6 in the first 65, the Habs should definitely look to draft C with their 1st, rather than "best available".
CBJ chose Dubois 2 years ago over taking the higher rated Puljujaarvi, and was a great decision.

There are several star centers on the market as noted above, as well as several other solid two-way players, with Bozak, Brodziak, and Riley Nash all solid players available up the middle in a more middle tier/affordable price range.
if the Habs can sign even 2 of them, their rebuild would be improved tremendously.

I Know but Dubois was ranked fourth or fifth, not ten. They could also draft Kotkaniemi but for me it represents a risk and I don't know if Bergevin willing to take it. But I wouldn't be suprised if Kotkaniemi is the pick.

Draft who you want , but I don't get the logical of "Hughes fills a hole". Look at that Montreal lineup, there are holes in every position except goal and RHD.

You know, the Canadiens did have a great LHD prospect and they traded him for a guy who they thought could play center but can't. So why would they draft an offense only defenseman in Hughes? Makes no sense, they can trade down a few spots and land Kotkaniemi (i think that's how it's spelled) and possibly get a second first rounder with it
