    If you aren't going to have him on the PP, there is absolutely no reason to sign Tyler Bozak. dude is actual garbage defensively, and he certainly shouldn't be killing penalties. you'd be better off signing Derek Grant or Derek Ryan or someone.

    Normally I would want a good player from an EK trade but with all those 1st round picks I accept that deal!

    No, Holmgren would have given up the picks for 3rd liners and 3rd pairing defensemen, at the trade deadline last year. Even after these trades, the system is nowhere near as bare as when Holmgren was in charge.

    People overvalue Simmonds. He is a mediocre 5v5 winger, and will be overpaid with his next contract.

    Simmonds does well both on the PK and PP. He brings leadership and unreal toughness. The intangibles are worth something.
