Doesn't seem very practical, little cap room, Karlsson getting 3.5m raise next year plus other RFA signings and the unlikely possibility that Lucic can be offloaded that easy.

As insanely top heavy this lineup is, it is actually the best way forward for Edmonton that I can see. They'll be utterly unstoppable for 22-26 minutes a game when Karlsson and McDavid are on the ice.

As long as the rest of the lineup can keep close to being even the rest of the time should let the Oilers win way more games than they'll lose.

Sekera and Russell will both be able to be traded easier next year once their NMC are modified so that will free up some cash.

OTT deal looks good, maybe take out strome and add a prospect instead, like Yamamoto.
MTL i dont see MTL accepting Lucics contract without getting something more that RNH, Lucics contract is that bad

I was going to say take out Strome and add RNH and you have my attention but you are using RNH to buy yourself out of the Lucic deal. I disagree with above, RNH is more than enough to take on that Lucic contract. A 1st overall, young, 60pt center is a hell of a trading chip.
