What Does Tampa Bay Do With Kucherov?

Description
Kucherov has an expiring deal as everybody knows, and will be asking for lots of money (no less than 10mil/year) but there hasn't been any negotiation on the next contract for him. Tampa Bay has been quietly fielding offers for Kucherov as per "The Hockey Writers". He just turned 25 and was a point a game in this past postseason with 17 points in 17 games. Kucherov also put up 100 points in 80 games. He has a career 334 points in 365 games.

They sign him even it means going to arbitration . Fortunately they have three expiring contracts in McDonagh, Stralman and Girardi that might generate cap space if cheaper replacements can be found.

I could see a team like the Flames offering up an arm and leg for him...or Oilers? both in need of a scoring winger. Oilers can package #10++ for him although the only problem with that is Tampa would most likely have to take Lucic back to clear up some cap

There was a rumored offer from Carolina of Faulk, Gauthier, Lindholm, a 1st and possibly more.

Some cap space more than anything, Tampa needs to sign Sergachev, Miller, Vasilevskiy, Point and more.

How does Kostin, Thomas, Thompson, Senko and a pick sound?

Interesting. I know the canes are looking for a shakeup so this could be very likely

I can't see this happening, Gauthier hasn't shown much, and Lindholm isn't exactly a superstar while Faulk is a good defenseman, but isn't THAT great.

Lindholm I think would be the main part of that package along with that 1st overall. Lindholm is 23 years old RFA and has had success in the NHL so far, faulk is also an upgrade from Dotchin and Girardi, possibly even Stralman.

Yeah, Kucherov is worth Tarasenko and a pick tops. And Tarasenko is also signed for 4 more tears at 7.5 mil so that holds a lot of value. Tarasenko is a consistent 30-40 goal scorer without a top center.

Kuch for Karlson. Lightning have a few prospects that have a scoring touch. Big price but worth the trade.

But why would Tampa trade for Karlsson who they don't know will resign with them when both Tampa Bay and Kucherov want to remain in Tampa?
