-Way to much for Dobby

-Czarnik is going to want more than a 200K raise and I'm sure someone will pay him to be more than a extra forward

I can send you the link from the article from The Score in Canada that puts him as the #2 UFA goalie this summer. He WILL get a raise, and if Boston wants to keep him (which I think they should), they will have to pay out. It is VERY important to have a #2 that can fill in if your #1 gets hurt, and he can do that, he is considered one of the best backups in the league. Someone will pay him that as a UFA, I think Bruins should. Rask still has periods where he needs "relief" from playing, he will always be that way. Also, I don't think Bruins have anyone ready from Providence to step up yet.

So not sure if you saw my Version 1 team, but I paid him $1M for 2 years and @ngikas said it was way too much. For a guy that has virtually no NHL experience
ngikas liked this.

Yeah i think this is about as much as czarnik should get paid. Kuraly probably gets around 1-1.5 imo

I honestly couldn't care less what The Score in Canada thinks lol. Truth is the UFA goalie market is trash this year, so much so that Dobby is ranked the #2 UFA goalie lol. He had arguably his second best year in the NHL and by many standards it was an average year.

Really? Just don't see it

And I imagine they'll regret it. Lets not forget that Dobby went through waivers 2 years ago an not a single team claimed him lol...again that makes me wonder how is he considered one of the best back-ups in the league.

Zane is the closest, but he hasn't shown consistency.

I don't think $1 million is out of the realm of possibility. 25yr old P/GP player in the AHL who can play C/RW is something I'm sure smaller budget teams would be interested in. If you look at his NHL #'s and pace them to 82 games, he'd be a 7G/17A guy. Now if he got more consistent time (no going up and down) could he be a 10G/20A guy? I don't see why not.

Dobby has a chance at a bigger role this offseason and will take it. If not he will re-sign with B’s for a minimal raise.

Not interested in Dobby, at all, for that price. Double his salary + an extra year? All set.

I see Dobby returning, but not at 2.8M. I think you're just overpaying him for this mock offseason.

I'd like to see him returning for less, but I just don't think its likely. I think you're underestimating what others will pay to get him.....and we have nothing else to go to at this point.

You find a cheaper back up. I get Dobby has been good here, but do we forget this is a guy that was so bad the first year here, he was placed on waivers (no one wanted him) and went to Providence? Also with Dobby, we signed him when he was coming off a season where he only played 9 NHL games. He spent the majority of the time in the AHL that season. If someone wants to overpay him, have at it, and good luck. He's done this once before, and it didn't help his career much.
