But unlike Durant, it's not enough because the Caps are over the cap with bonuses

ya cause that nyi Washington trade is even close to realistic. take out orpik maybe its close.

carlson and the playoff warrior superstar savior of the world and the one who cures cancer TOM cheapshot WILSON both want more money. and your already over the cap what happens when some one gets injure for 1 or 2 games and you cant call up anyone it does happen

Tavares pulls a Kevin Durant and avoids Washington like the plague. Not happening.

First off you're at least $1 million under on John Carlson, And secondly no way Tavares takes a one year deal at less then $10 million per. It would be maximum for one year like $15 to $16 million which would never happen in the first place.

Kempny is not worth 2M. Decent team.

That 3rd line did pretty well as a 2nd line through a few playoff rounds, so I think the forward depth is significantly improved.

Take out Orpik and Leddy keeps playing all the toughest minutes. He was -40 last year.

why would you want orpik? he is way over priced slow assssss pylon, that use to be able to hit, but know even that just leaves him out of position and out of the play.

HE HAS NEGATIVE VALUE. teams know this to and are not going to help the caps out with out a huge sweetener in the deal.

the whole isles team was poor on defense last year between injuries to d men and goalies who couldnt stop anything. the isles will get there d and goalie situation fixed and be a better team, just not with that trade

He was slow in October on the Caps top pair. In the playoffs, on a 3rd pair he led the league in plus minus, while also coming in 2nd in hits and blocks, scoring his second playoff game winning goal, assisting on the second to last goal of the season, and shutting Vegas down for the final 2:22 of the season, during which they pulled their goalie, for the win.

So what I'm saying is, go home. You're drunk.

If Orpik takes the 15 toughest minutes of the night, Leddy can do his thing in the offensive zone. Tavares remembers Orpik knocking him out of the playoffs with an OTGWG and knocking him around in another first round he lost to the Caps. As a Caps fan, I think sending Orpik anywhere in the Metropolitan is a terrible idea.

plus minus is the worst stat of all time to judge a player. yay he hit people and every hit took him out of position. leading block shots to slow to move from in front of net. great he scored his second winning goal his first was for the pens against the isles. was not worth the contract then and sure as hell aint worth it now. or he was to slow to get off the ice the tv announcers also said repeatedly that him and djous were ridding the bench the caps were only using 4 d men. no team takes on a 5.5 million dollar cap hit for a number 6 d. he averaged 13 minutes a game in the post season. your the drunk one not me negative value
