Hamilton doesn't play as big as he is, and takes a tonne of stupid penalties. Nylander still hasn't reached his ceiling, when he skates hard he is dominant. As good as Marner and Matthews, if he switches to centre and is successful he is now more valuable than Marner. Trading Nylander for a flawed right handed defenceman is a terrible idea. It screams Hall Larsson trade. Granted Hall is way ahead of Nylander and I'd put Hamilton a little ahead of Larsson but the gulf between Nylander's ceiling and Hamilton's is pretty wide. I'll stick with the potential of Nylander over Hamilton every time.
