I nicked it from a post earlier today. Main criticism was Edmonton was giving up way too much (originally, the #10 was included...). I dropped the 1st to result in that. What else about it can be optimized?

CGY value isn't bad, but CGY traded Russell because they knew he was gonna get 3-4mill in free agency and they didn't deem him worth of that, also his NMC is a huge deterrent for me

Easy pass from Columbus. #10 pick and D prospect don’t replace Panarin in the lineup

Kind of assuming you guys move Brodie this summer and Valimaki isn't ready. I'd be willing to retain like $600k if you're fine with the 7th being bumped up to a 6th. Reasonable?

Without naming any player on this current roster, what else would need to be added? I'd consider the 2019 1st and another prospect if there's a verbal agreement for an extension.

Jackets aren’t in a rebuild. They aren’t going to move Panarin for only prospects. If you’re unwilling to move a good NHL player then you don’t get Panarin, simple as that.

Edmonton won't be in the running if they're not prepared to give up Draisaitl

The Oilers would only get 1 year of Panarin and then wouldn't be able to afford to re-sign him. Then here we are with a big hole at wing with no Nuge, no Panarin, and no 10th pick.

Jets would say no to RNH, too much term for his cap hit, without you guys also taking Little. The Jets are trying to cut costs for next year. You switch RNH for Pulju or Klefbom, you can keep Benning, and we'll keep our 2nd rounder.

Pulju and Klefbom are really the only things on the Oilers that would interest the Jets with Little under contract.

Counter offer 1:
Little, Perrault, and Myers and our 2nd for RNH and a 3rd

Counter offer 2:
Perrault and Myers and a 5th for Klefbom and your 4th

Counter offer 3:
Perrault and Myers and a 5th for Pulju and a 3rd

yeah i think its just a little rich for my blood - if nuge is going to WPG for Myers i think there needs to be a first coming to edmonton and a 3rd/4th going back

Yes but a 4M servicable D is better than a 4.5M boat anchor
