Who do you have your eye on at 26th overall where you'd be willing to trade up?

      Merkley or Lundkvist.

I can definitely see the majority of this seeing as how it is a rebuild. A couple things that I would point out are that I believe Larkin will be in the 6m range, while Mantha would likely get a bridge deal with a lower AAV. If the Wings can acquire Grubauer, that is absolutely key, in that scenario I don't mind giving up AA.

I would also keep Nyquist and Howard. Nyquist can contribute while Howard can act as more of a safety net in goal.

I also like the idea of trading up IF Merkley is still available.

Overall not bad, just my suggestions!

I agree. If you grab Grubauer then you kick off the rebuild with your Goalie of the Future (Grubauer), Center of the Future (Larkin), and D-Man of the future (likely whoever you draft on Friday).

Agreed! I'm VERY excited to see who the Wings select on Friday.

As a Hawks fan, I am jealous that you'll probably grab Hughes. He is going to be a stud.

Plus I have a sneaky suspicion the 2nd rounders may turn into roster players as well. Perks of a very deep draft.

That is 100% what I am hoping will happen! Hughes looks unreal. As for the Hawks, getting Dobson or Bouchard isn't the worst "consolation" prize haha.
