Having Kotkaniemi + Vilardi a the Habs top 6 C, with Poehling and Danault as the bottom 6 C could be lethal in 3-4 years!!!

Considering any deal suggested on here involving Vilardi results in an instant no, I think this one isn't that half bad for both sides. I would prefer Muzzin than Martinez, but then I bet I'd fall back in that instant no situation.

VILARDI IS NOT BEING TRADED. He is an untouchable. The Kings will not trade their future center of the next decade for 1 year (maybe he resigns but he is 30, end of his prime). LA would rather get Skinner than give up vilardi. LA would rather get Kovy than give up vilardi.

You have realize that Habs fans are seriously over valuing Patches, They don't seem to see any thought of it's just a one year deal...the same with 90% of the Karlsson trades

Pacioretty will meet LA Kings on Monday for a tentative deal extension... If he accept the deal is there!
MB want's a Good young C ( Kempe, Anderson-Dolan or Vilardi) + NHL LHD like Muzzin.... every Kings fan don't want to give Vilardi... OK.
Who would you give then as the trade is on the block for next week?

He's under 30, has several seasons over 30 goals, and makes 4.5 for 1 more year.

Look at the last 5 seasons for left wingers: Only Ovechkin, Marchand (just 1 more) and Benn have more goals. Only the same 3 guys plus Taylor Hall have more points. You call that over value? All of that with no real centers.

Finally someone understands. The Karlsson trades are brutal. His NTC hinders his value. No team is going to give up the moon for him if they have to take Ryan back too. Then resign Karlsson and suddenly you're paying 17 million in 2 players. And one is really really declining.

But there are so many of these sign and trades....that are so meaningless. It seems just wishful thinking. Nice that Patches a meaning....so what? If there is no deal, now he has to return to team that doesn't want him. And now Patches know somewhat of his UFA next summer, so he really has no reason to sign with LA either.
Can't think of good trade....make it a sign and trade....in almost all cases,
