CHI
  1. Darling, Scott ($2,050,000 retained)
  2. Faulk, Justin
  3. 2019 4th round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
Everything we need in this offseason in one trade.
CAR
  1. Anisimov, Artem
  2. Forsberg, Anton
  3. Hossa, Marián
  4. Murphy, Connor
Additional Details:
Nalimov (Best Goalie Prospect who requested a trade)

Murphy To replace Faulk, he is a downgrade to Faulk yes, but Faulk didn’t exactly have a good year. Murphy is under team control for 4 more years at a reasonable cap hit.

Anismov is probably the best 3rd line center in the game, and to be quite honest. Carolina would be very happy to have him (With their lack of center depth) He excels when playing with high end talent, and Carolina could use another locker room presence.

You also dump Darling, so that’s a positive.

Hossa helps you guys reach the cap floor and isn’t expensive to actually pay.

It’s a 6 (5 actual) player swap. Benefits both sides.

Elaborate?

Also sorry for my comment on your post. I get “Upset” when people trade DeBrincat for a one year rental.

Well, i should have stated this is assuming an extension. I dont want Cat gone, but for Panarin i will drive him to the airport.

That being said, i think the Hawks trade too much in your proposal. I think Faulk is an overrated defenseman and would rather pay for De Haan or John Moore. And as much as i would love JT at the number, i think thats low. i had him at 10.5 and dont think that is realistic.

I would definitely say that JT... well John would probably take a discount if he were coming here. This would be a win now move

The Carolina trade is also smart financially. Lots of salary coming off our books.

canes don't need a third line center rask staal and ryan all can take that spot

Anisimov is far from the best third line center just look at the depth charts in the league Pens, Preds, Sharks, Ducks, lighting, leafs, knights, caps, jets, stars, bruins all have 3rd line centers that can give him a run. That being said he could fit in at second line center there is no way the canes take Hossa and retain on darling.

Car won't retain that much on darling...more likely $1.75M max and you aren't getting a 4th back from them. Even to play on the Hawks, JT isn't getting paid less then $10.5M. Kahun's bonus is too much for a guess...he needs to adjust to NA ice so keep him in Rockford.

No shot CAR does that trade. They're taking on too much salary, salary thats not very good. AA is far from the best third line center in the NHL. CAR's not giving up on Darling yet, they're giving him another year, they've said this publicly.

"Best third line center"
I'm sorry, but isn't the best third line center supposed to win face offs.? Stop trying to hype up crappy blackhawk depth. I'm saying this as a hawks fan.
And the Canes aren't dumping Darling's contract just to absorb Hossa's.

Anisimov is a very good center when he is playing with talented players, sure he has faceoffs problems, sure he isn’t the most skilled guy on the ice when he plays. However he works really hard, is responsible defensiv;y and gets in front of the net for dirty goals. Hold for his face off stats he is everything you could ever want in a 3rd line center position. His salary is a bit much at the moment, and ideally we would like to move him to a contender for assets in a position of weakness aka a number 1 RHD…

The Hossa for Darling side of this makes perfect sense for Carolina if they felt they wanted to move on from a good goalie who had a bad year Chicago would be more than happy to take him. . Hossa is owed 1 million dollars in actual Salsry for the next 3 years, Carolina doesn’t exactly spend a fortune on their on ice product, so Hossa’s contract is a great way to help them reach the cap floor while also not costing the team much in actual salary. That combined with the peices they would theoretically be getting in this trade is great justification to swap Darls for Hossa.

Also, we have great center depth, just not great face offs in that depth.

If your going to quote, do it correctly. I said “Probably the best 3rd line center in the game”.

That is very far from a sure thing.
