The Perry buy out hurts this team in three years. 6M+ for no one. Likely cripples resigning any roster players already shown.

I disagree. Those last three years our dead cap-hit is a little over 2 mil. That would be very constricting for a cap team but this team operates on a budget more than the cap, a couple of previous seasons not withstanding. The Samueli's are much more concerned with actual dollars spent and buying out Perry saves them money, provided trading him is out of the question. But I have a hard time believing trading Perry is a viable option right now.
