Description
CAR needs a LHD and could really use a scoring center EDM seems to be a natural partner. EDM gets a true scoring winger who could put up massive points with McDavid, Faulk is a solid puck mover and would excel playing with Sekera again. CAR gets back a good left shot dman and a young center who could find success between Aho and TT. Conditional second if Skinner extends (which if he's playing with the best player in hockey... why wouldn't he?). Clear Victor Rask and try to get anything you could from him, any team who has any interest and could give either a third line player or some picks take him. He massively under performed last year, looked unmotivated and lackluster throughout the end of the season. He could return to being a quality third line scoring center on the right team with a different coach. Sign Zykov and Wallmark, they will probably be making less than I signed them for. I know Ferland is probably more ideal as a third liner but I feel he could slot in really well with a big center in Staal and a young powerful Svechnikov. Necas gets third line minutes with a veteran player to help get him acclimated to playing center in the NHL, has potential to move up lineup. Did not trade Darling, I believe he could have a bounce back year, if not Jarry (who I do not know a ton about) can push for starter as he performed ok in Pittsburgh last year and would be looking to improve his numbers and playing time. Not sure if a 3rd and 4th round pick gets this deal done, but higher picks could be discussed or prospects like Geekie could be thrown in.

    I'd bet a lot of money Necas will be your #1C before RNH. He's NOT a #2C. he's a #3C or winger.

Rask has more value than that...probably closer to 2 x 2Rds or a 2Rd + 3Rd at the very least.

I agree that between Aho and Necas, we don’t need to sacrifice for a Top 6 center. As painful as it may be, patience will be required, just a little while longer.

Rask can get more then a 3rd and a 4th and agree with the guys above, Necas is going to be good, Aho is already good, let them be. Couple years together and the top 6 will be much better off then adding a guy that cuts their ice time for the next couple years.
