Hate to break it to you dude, But Montreal isn't one of the 5 teams that Tavares is talking too. But Toronto is.

Just follow Twitter, According to Darren Dreger, Tavares is speaking with LA, San Jose, Saint Louis,Tampa and Dallas. It's already been widely reported that Tavares has no desire to even think about playing in Montreal.

five stars for wanting O'Reilly.
Most Sabre CF GM's will be very disappointed with the return for O'Reilly. IMO two good (not great) prospects and a 1st is even below that line. Botterill would say no to this offer.

Two trades have already been nearly completed for Pacioretty. One to the Kings (before the Kovalchuk signing), and one to the Sharks. Both trades fell through at the last minute when it was revealed that Pacioretty wouldn't sign a contract extension. That holds true, and Dallas is definitely not giving up one of their better forward prospects (Hintz), a 1st round pick, and a former 1st round pick (Gurianov) for him. The cost is entirely too much for 1 year of value.

Well id love to see how tampa can even afford Tavares with the cap space that they have considering who they have to resign, ive heard rumors of San Jose for Pacioretty but none for JT, LA is out of the race because of the fact that they got Kuvulchuk, both st. louis and Dallas would have to move cap exspecially considering who they have as RFA's and UFA's currently...with all those factors, odds are Dreger is wrong just like he was on draft day about expecting many trades. Nothing will be certain of what JT will do until he decides what himself will do.

Might be wrong on Tampa i believe it was Vegas instead of Tampa and Vegas definitely can afford Tavares both Dallas and St Louis make zero sense as neither are a Tavares away from a serious cup run even with Tavares. And you're right LA said they're out of the Tavares sweepstakes after signing Ilya Kovalchuk. San Jose makes some sense probably either Sharks, Golden Knights or Isles.

Don't want to get into a debate over where Tavares will go, but in the article where it is reported Tavares will meet with 5 teams it clearly states the 5 teams are unknown. The article goes on to suggest that one would have to think SJ, St. Louis and Toronto would be involved and maybe Vegas and/or Tampa.

It's all rumours, it's all speculation.

Hate to break it to you but an about 30 year old is not worth two 1sts, (Denis, and the pick), plus a player that looks like he should've been a first round pick (Hintz)
