Listen, Stone is an elite 1st line winger who averages over a point per game. If you want him, try both of next years 1sts plus an A prospect.

OTT would match this. Better off offering the $8.1M x 5 years (max for one 1st, 2nd, 3rd). I still think OTT would match it, but who knows how they're feeling with their internal cap.

FWIW, I also think you're underpaying Nemeth by ~$0.5-1M

thats not how offersheets work, trying to play money ball with the Sens to just give up draft picks and keep the Sens own first and all their prospects.
Sens 100% match that offsheet, I think you have to go up to 5 years x 8m to make them really think about if they can afford it or not

and hes not an on average point per game winger, he has 249 points in 307 career games, just last year he had a heck of an over ppg pace. Doing it once doesnt make it the average but i Get what you are trying to get at here

Not exactly how an offer sheet works. Between 6.15-8mm requires a 1st, 2nd and 3rd - more than 8 would get you 2 1st rounders, ect.. Other teams might offer more - but he's a player that's never played a full season and averages in the 50's in points, much like Landy. What's offered isn't unfair, but other teams might offer more.

I don't think you're too far off on what his value would be if he were in the COL system, and they were looking to just re-sign him. But he's going to come at a premium to pry him away from OTT. At this offer sheet salary, OTT matches it in a heartbeat. I would actually think they would have given a better offer in the first place, with more term and a little more money.

      He fits COL well because:
      1) Makes OTT worse for next year
      2) Young (26), elite winger
      3) Right-handed shot

Over the past 4 seasons, Stone has averaged 60 points (0.86 points/game). Converted to a full 82-game season that would be 71 points, but to your point, he has had issues staying healthy.
