I don't want to trade that 2019 1st even it's for Faulk straight up. It's VERY counter productive. We can either develop the talent we've drafted over the past 3 years or we can go for the now...not both. I'd be VERY upset if that trade occurred. Just not clear direction and I'd lose serious faith in management if they did this.

Thats exactly what Stan does though. He literally said they are working on a way to improve the team in the now and in the future. He never has a clear direction.

Ottawa doesn't take on Hossa without at least a 2nd round pick and a decent prospect. We don't need a 27 year old late bloomer D. We have tons of those..

The CAR trade is giving up too much for Faulk. AA, A Forsberg and a 1st for should be for Faulk plus another asset like Rask.
