Description
Buffalo’s ask for O’Reilly is a 1st and 2nd round pick, and a high-end prospect. Montreal wants to add a center, but they don’t have a lot of young assets to trade.
Montreal gives up a 2nd to upgrade from Pacioretty to O’Reilly, and then Buffalo flips O’Reilly for a 1st and a prospect. There are several teams wanting to add a scoring winger, so this doesn’t necessarily have to be Nashville. It could be LA, San Jose, Minnesota, Florida, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, etc.

IF Montreal was able to get a Fabbro and 1st, Pacioretty would already be traded.

But also, Buffalo can ask for whatever they want, I don't see anyone overpaying for ROR.

Agreed. Also can't see Nashville agreeing to that. Can scratch LA and SJS from your list unless at the TDL they do an about face same with EDM. MIN has salary issues and could hit retool. Honestly unless they can find a landing spot for Patch soon the Canadiens should probably just hold onto him until the tdl and then just trade him to the best offer even if it's not what they had in mind.
