Decent AAV for 2 years i could see Detroit make a deal including him in the last year of the contract. Not the player he once was but a serviceable 4th defenseman.

Thats a fair deal considering he was the best UFA dman on the market come tomorrow. He probably cold have got 6 mill elsewhere but this isn't much of a decline to that and he's familiar and will be their #1 guy for the next 2 unless someone really emerges
