I love Beagle, but man, if this is what we would’ve had to pay to get him back I’m glad we let him walk.

Seriously, WTF!? ??‍♂️

Unless Beagle is going to factor in as some long term "Leadership/dressing room guy" after they ship out Tanev, Edler and Sutter, this deal is terrible if true.

Having Beagle and Sutter down the middle will make this the least productive offence in the league.

Or maybe JB and TL are all in on the #loseforhughes2019 play?

I like Beagle, but the terms and cap hit are terrible.

IF YOU'RE GONNA DO THIS....WHY NOT JUST GIVE HIM A 1-YEAR DEAL FOR AROUND $5,000,000 ?

VANCOUVER HAS CAP SPACE NOW....BUT WHO KNOWS IF THEY WILL IN 3-4 YEARS....ANY 1-YR DEAL MAKES HIM A SOLID DEADLINE RENTAL (WITH 50% RETAINED).

THIS CONTRACT MIGHT BE UN-TRADEABLE BY THE DEADLINE....ZERO CONTENDERS CAN AFFORD A 4TH LINE CENTER AT $3,000,000 FOR MULTIPLE YEARS.

THEY TURNED A FREE 2ND ROUND PICK INTO A "THROW IN A 2ND & WE'LL TAKE THE CONTRACT".
