It's Vanek. He will put up points...and will get traded at the deadline. But yeah the signing is fine. 3 Mil for a guy capable of 50 points is good.

Secretly was hoping Buffalo would pick him up to play one last year with Pommenville. Good signing by the Wings, has a few miles in him but will rack up points regardless. He could go at trade deadline for a draft pick too as a rental.

What is the point? They need to tank not win. Full NMC so they can't trade him at the TD

Holland signed a free agent forward who does not produce enough points, lacks work ethic, and floats and coasts aimlessly on the ice constantly to a one year, $3,000,000 deal. Should the Red Wings invest $3,000,000 into younger and better players who can produce more in order to win?

Delusional. It's the NTC I don't understand, ruins their TD return. This also makes it harder for the young prospects to crack the roster.

I doubt if it's a full NTC. Vanek consistently has played well in his upcoming UFA season. Look for Vanek to be traded at TDL

It is a full NTC. He has a choice of where he goes and if he goes. He will probably be traded, but Vanek now has alot of say

For all of you complaining of the NTC; he will still be traded, he will have to waive it in order too. This gives Vanek a say in where he goes
