I think Sobotka has something to prove to remain relevant in the National Hockey League, or he could be flipped to another team for the Sarbes to address needs across the board.

Why is this good for Buffalo? And what on god's green earth has Curtis Lazar done to earn a spot in the top 6 of an NHL hockey team? They guy has 51 points in 245 NHL games.

he’s also been stuck in bottom 6 shut down roles. He’s got speed and skill, played on McDavids line at the WJC, chemistry with Bennett, and has solid possession numbers 5v5. Sabres can afford to give him an opportunity, and lets Okposo boost Berg and Brouwers stats on the 3rd line. Gives Tage a year to learn Housleys system in the A. If he doesn’t work out the Sabres slot someone else there, what does it hurt? You think Sobotka is going to be much better?
