Toronto definitely matches that. If you want to offer sheet Nylander, get ready to give up 4 1st round picks. We definitely have the assets to trade for him, though. I'd rather not trade for Panarin as a 1 year rental... We give up more than he's worth in that trade even if he is a superstar. CAR trade doesn't really make sense, I'd rather have Spurgeon than Faulk even factoring in age.

Also you only have 20 players on this roster, you have to add 2 forwards and a defenseman for depth

Lol Canes would rather have Faulk than Spurgeon and you want them to give a 2nd?

What’s the point really? Both have 2 years left, Faulk is cheaper, and better. And they have no need for another RD. Brodin maybe. But they want FW or picks for Faulk.

Value-wise, the Faulk/Spurgeon trade makes sense...Faulk is definitely NOT the better!

Here we go again ok lets take a look

Years remainung both 2 push

Aav. faulk 1m cheaper adv faulk

Age faulk 2 years younger adv faulk

82 game averages

Goals faulk 13. spurgeon 9

Assists Faulk 26. Spurgeon 24

Pts Faulk 39. spurgeon 33

Size Faulk 6’1 210. spurgeon 5’8 160

All star games Faulk 3. spurgeon 0

Take off the fan goggles. No gm in hockey would take Spurgeon over Faulk. ....because Faulk is better. It’s not even debatable. Sorry, just fact.

I understand. Every teams fan base over values their own players. They have an emotional attachment to them. Objectivity gets lost. It happens. But you are wrong.

If I were biased towards one of them it would be Faulk. He’s bigger. More physical. And, he’s a Minnesota boy. But, I am looking at this objectively and Spurgeon is, without a doubt, the better player. I guarantee if you polled all the players, coaches, and gms in the NHL Spurgeon would be the overwhelming winner!

But, we can just disagree...

Then why does Faulk have 6 appearances with national teams while Spurgeon has none? Guess those people you want to poll don’t agree with you. Neither does anyone else outside of Minnesota

Lol, he’s bigger, younger, cheaper, more productive. But hey....whatever lets you sleep at night.

Saying Spurgeon is better than Faulk would be like me saying Kevin Miller is better than Spurgeon....but i wouldn’t. That's the difference i guess.

Like I said, we will just have to agree to disagree.

Well you know what they say. You are entitled to your opinion...even if you are wrong. And you are. So just don’t go getting your panties in a bunch when people tell you your ACGMs would get declined because you are expecting a return as if he is a 1st pairing, top 50 d man. They are just being honest with you.
