About what I expected (was thinking $1 million range), but the term is longer than I thought. I was really thinking it would be a 1yr deal so they could hold his RFA right's again. Bring good effort and bust his ass every game. Something the Bruins fans enjoy out of their 4th liners.

No he's not. It's great to get your 4C locked up for this price, but he's nothing more than that. (And we need him to be more than that, unless Backes moves to 3C or something.)

He is. Don't know what you see but one of the only Bruins players to give his 110% every game.

Grit is beyond overrated. The best kind of intangibles are speed, skill, scoring, and shot suppression.
