As a Senators fan it pains me to say this but, the Leafs are a well built franchise and have an amazing future, what they need now is just a Dman or two and they are set.

I think it's in both parties best interest for Nylander to bypass a bridge deal. He gets more cash, we get all of his his prime years.

If you look at the year later, it becomes hard to afford Willy, even on the bridge deal. The bridge deal just postpones the inevitability that Nylander has to get traded. I'm sure Dubas already has a plan though, I doubt that there is not an agreed upon plan within management. Trading Nylander sounds like the obvious answer at this point.
