Pacioretty and Skinner?

Description
MTL needs a LHD and the 1st pick should be enough to get Pacioretty. (maybe a 2nd or a prospect). Carolina gets a solid center, a top 9 forward who can kill penalties and a great goalie prospect. (This is for the retention of salary). I suspect that Kessel gets traded within the season or in next years off-season to get cap room for Guentzel and maybe re-signing Pacioretty and/or Skinner.

I’m sure CAR would prefer the 1Rd pick and MTL would want the centerman. Swap the first for Brassard and it’s good.
