Pens- Big Trade with Colorado - Just thought of - LMK what think?

Created by: Sidstick87

Description
YES- I hate trading both Brassy and Maatta bc I love Maatta and think Brassy is as good as u get as a 3rd line Center. BUT all u hear is Brassy could go so i tried this out.
REASON - or - Thinking behind trade
Landeskog is a skillful- all go, chippy LW . He could also play C in a squeeze if Geno or Sid was out for a cpl games (the real reason i dont want to trade Brassy)
Zadorov - Another skillful player but also physical... We could have the Twin Towers as a 3rd Pairing with - Big Rig and Zadorov -
PLUS - this dude would just get better with Gonch as a coach.
Jost- a young talented smaller but skillful dude that skates his b**ls off - PLUS can play C, LW, RW and on any line.

A bit much for only maata and brassard. Maata and brassard are really only worth landeskog and like a pick. Being generous that is. You would have to add a whole lot more for a good dman in zadorov and a nhler in Jost.

Colorado’s captain for a 3rd line C, plus Zadorov > Maatta, and you want Colorado to add Jost

You can try and explain that one as much as you like but to be honest it's farcical. No way would Colorado give up their captain, best defensive forward, part of the best line in the NHL last year and 60 plus point scorer, plus a solid future top 4 D AND a potential #2C minimum for a 3rd line C who is 30 years old and has hit 60 points once in his career and an average D.

Landeskog>Brassard
Zadorov = Määttä (Zad might even be slightly better)

No way COL even picks up phone for this.

Besides nothing, what has Nikita Zadorov done for the Buffalo Sabres and the Colorado Avalanche?

The way i was looking at it was Maatta for Landy .... Brassard (and should have put pick or prospect) for Zadorov and Jost

Well, as good as maata is, he’s just not worth landeskog. For this deal to work you would have to add a strong prospect and a high pick imo.

Zadorov was promising in Buffalo but had that typical Russian attitude that GMTM didnt want to deal with. In Colorado hes been a solid young top 4 dman with room to grow still

Yeah you don’t seem biased or anything at all. Getting a lot of good responses from that trade.

Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen. Notably called the top line statistically in the NHL by numerous commentators. 1st in Goals scored, 1st in Shot Attempts For, 1st in Unblocked Shot Attempts For.

Pastrnak - Bergeron - Marchand. 15th GS. 10th SATF. 12th USATF.

Buffalo were terrible and Colorado up until last season were terrible. That's a difficult spot to be in and grow as a D. Zads is only 23 years old btw and still progressing. He was never a Dahlin, nor expected to be, but he almost certainly will be a solid D for years to come.
