IF Datsyuk does decided to leave, since it's not official yet, I like the idea of trading him for Pronger's contract. Even though Holland has said he won't do it.

Yeah I think the idea that Arizona (or anyone) would just take the contract is absurd. You got to give to get, and I think taking Pronger's deal is the lesser of two evils for Detroit. I am not in love with the Calgary trade but I did it, and could not figure out how to undo it. Fact is, Wings have much better chance with a sign and trade with Mrazek (or letting him walk) than the do moving Howard. This postseason could change that. Lastly names like Bollig and Ladd seem way more realistic to me than Stamkos, given some of the issues above. Not sure if I got the $ just right, but I thin this is a roster that would be pretty close to cap compliant.
