No need to retain salary IMO.

Yeah I know. But it's just for a year and sweetens the deal.

Minnesota may have cap issues (I think they are ok), but you just created massive cap issues for your own team by throwing a 6 million a year salary on the blue line.

Yes the 6 mil is fine now but next year Dubas will have to move some salary to keep the Young guns.

Don't just blindly trust what's on the Wild's page on here because they have 25 guys under contract on the roster plus Zucker and Dumba. Five of them won't be on the roster. We actually have $14.2 million in space to re-sign Zucker and Dumba then pick one of Greenway, Kunin, and Rau to play wing on the 3rd line. Even if Zucker and Dumba cost $12 million to re-sign (they won't), we'd still have ~$1.2-1.5 million in cap space.

Also, the last thing we need is more LD. We already have 3 LD locked down for at least the next 3 years with 4 more in line for a spot. Even if we needed to move a player to create cap space, this would be a terrible trade to make. It doesn't help us in the least. If we're trading Dumba or Spurgeon, it's for a top 6 impact forward not a package that just further deepens what is arguably our deepest position (the other is LW).
