For 2019-20 after renewing Lehkonen, Reilly and Hudon for maybe $4.5M total, the Habs will have about $20M in cap space to help add some appropriate FA to the rebuild.

Dude, what are you doing... Weber is the only major long-term cap issue. Alzner has 4 years so at worst, we buy him out in 2. Shaw is only 3.9 (which is too high for him but we'd be able to trade that contract). I wouldn't classify Price as an issue cause he's the best goalie in the NHL

Weber is on LTIR to start the year, I did not move Price, I traded Shaw's contract like you agree is possible, and Alzner would be a 4-year drag on the cap if we buy him out in two years, so move him now; why take up a roster spot instead of auditioning a youngster?
