Pittsburgh trading away Brassard for a rental winger doesn't make much sense. This forces Riley Sheahan, a fourth line center to play on the third line. It also means that when Malkin inevitably gets injured, he will be on the second line, which is not ideal. Brassard is a 50-point center with a cheap cap hit. The only reason they should look to move him is if they can get a long term solution at that position. Giving up Oleksiak is bad because a Johnson-Ruhwedel pairing could be a nightmare.
Also, what use does Montreal, an non-playoff team, have for a rental center? If they want him, they can sign him next summer. He has a lot more value to a contending team trying to make a playoff run.
Finally, the value is way off. Brassard plays a more valuable position, has a cheaper cap hit, and is coming off a better season. Their individual trade values should be quite close since they are both rental players.
