Where's Jankowski?
You didn't trade him and he would never make it through waivers.

Forgot to sign him. I've corrected that mistake.

How about Michael Stone for McElhinney + 6th?

3rd rounder seems steep here. And actually come to think of it, CGY could have decent interest in Garrett Sparks. Sparks for a 3rd could work.

McElhinney for a 5th? Its more of a move to remove a contract so the Leafs can move up one of their farm team goalies. They won't want to bring back any salary the other way.

I think Dubas would take back 1-year salaries in a deal, but nothing beyond this year. He could always flip Stone at the deadline or around the 2019 draft though, too. TOR has plenty of space this season.

Send us Sparks.

To be honest I'd want more for Sparks.

I'm going on a bit of a rant now but its really weird how certain players get reputations that are undeserved. For example, its widely believed that Thatcher Demko is top level goalie prospect, and Sparks isn't. The last two years Sparks has been one of the best goalies in the AHL and was the best one last season. On top of that, he lead his team to a championship and also completely outplayed Demko in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Sparks should be a much more highly touted goalie prospect but gets no respect.

Anyways, I don't know if TO would move Sparks or not, he won't be the starter there for at least another 3 seasons and by then perhaps a younger option surpasses him so maybe Sparks and a 2nd would work?
