I don't think Carolina has a need for a LHD after signing De Haan. Plus, I would cry if the Wild obtained Nurse, then flipped him in another trade...

Do you think Minnesota would Trade Brodin for assets then to acquire Faulk then and keep Darnell Nurse

Just run with Nurse/Brodin on the 2nd pair and call it a day. I don't have much interest in Faulk for the cost I see on here.

Brodin and Nurse are both LHD. IF you could make a trade with the Oilers involving the 2, that would probably be the simplest route. Another way to go, even though I don't think it has ever happened in history, making a 2 D for 2 D swap in this case would be great. Spurgeon and Brodin for Larsson and Nurse. The value, IMO...is almost spot on!

I think the Wild already have the assets to acquire Faulk AND Nurse if they want them.

We shall see just how willing Fenton is to make moves either this summer, or next summer after he has had more time to evaluate his new club.

Brodin is fine playing off handed RD, so that's not an issue for me.

He might be fine...but he plays scared shitless over there. It’s a significant issue!

Not something I've noticed. ?aybe his rookie year, but that's fuzzy to me at this point?

The Scandella/Brodin pair was really good; just used in a complete shutdown role in the Yeo defense first and always, take no chances system, and they had to play with that awful Stoll 4th line. That should have been a key developmental year for Brodin, and it was wasted/misused. It's been a couple of years since he's had more than a shift or two a game on the right side (PK, bad line change, injury, etc).

I am still bummed SS left after only 1 season. He pushed Brodin to be better in ways none of the other coaches did.

Ever since Brodin broke his wrist a couple years ago, he has been very reluctant to play on the right side.

I agree about Stevens...as a matter of fact, I would prefer him as the head coach over Boudreau! Stevens said all the right things to the press, but I have heard rumblings he and Boudreau didn't always see eye to eye...and that's the real reason he left. It's hearsay, so who knows...

No clue about BB and SS getting along or not. Stevens name hasn't been floating around the coaching rumors since he left the Wild. Russo does like to gossip and he didn't say much about and discord between the two.

I think he likes the 9-5, talking head type of job NHLN gives him; as opposed to the grind of the NHL season: practices, travel, etc. It's not like he jumped ship from MN and took another Assistant Coach job somewhere else 5 days later. Maybe in a couple of years he'll get the urge to get back into the mix as a coach. Dunno.
