Dallas and Tampa are out. Other Fav team makes a move: NSH

Description
Trading Tolvanen isn't a big blow because they already fill out the top 9 very well. As a preds fan I would trade him to replace pk with Karlsson all day while not trading a pick or any other roster players. They would have the best D core undisputed. I'm sure most people won't agree with the trade but whatever. Plus they get a goalie who could compete with saros in a couple years.

As a Preds Fan, this trade does nothing for me. Preds need scoring wingers not defensemen, so why would we trade our best forward prospect (and likely the best prospect we've drafted since Radulov) to upgrade a defensemen (who will need an extension)? I would be incredibly disappointed if Tolvanen went the other way. I would counter with a different prospect and add a first but still not that intrigued by the trade.

Yikes, Subban and Tolvanen is such an over payment for Karlsson. Just keep Subban for the cheaper cap hit signed logn term and talented Tolvanen.

Sens would have to add more than Högberg who wouldnt even be the Preds AHL starter if they want that sort of return

I like the concept of the trade meaning similar long term cap might have to exchanged in this case Subbans and Karlssons. All these teams apparently dropping out of the sign and trade for EK. EK has no reason to settle for a sign and trade, maybe he just waits to be UFA next summer. Teams then will have time to reconstruct their lineup and cap to accommodate him, and without giving up anything.
