You think the salary cap is going up another 5.5 million for next year? No chance - as much as Vegas has been a success story, Ottawa, Arizona, Carolina, and Florida continue to have only half of their buildings full and that hurts HRR.

As soon as Kucherov signed his extension, Karlsson coming to TB is no longer a possibility.

The cap is estimated to go up 5% each year so the best guess is next year's cap is 83.475 which is just about 400k off which would just mean replacing two entry level players with players on leave minimum contracts
