these discussions start with Nylander/Marner+. no reason to sell, value isn't close.

Blues say no. They have enough on the left side and this would create a giant hole on the right.

Both are more valuable than Parayko. He's a very good young player but Marner and Nylander are elite offensive players. Don't believe me look at Nylander's 5v5 stats, he's in the top 30 in most categories so is Marner. Marner when he was moved to Kadri's, scored the 7th most points from that point on in the entire NHL.

These two players 22 and 20 years old, are going to be stars in this league. Also St Louis wouldn't want to trade him, he's the future of their d.

So basically there is no way this trade would ever happen. Doesn't make sense from either teams standpoint, unless one of the teams goes overboard and offers way too much.

yes and no.

they son't WANT to trade him and they don't NEED to trade him. IF they trade him, you thus have to overpay, so if STL is not getting the best player in the deal, they don't need to sell. there is 0 reason for them to settle for a lesser player in a trade. that's why you either ask for Nylander or Marner and if they don't want to part with either, no deal.

Which is why the trade won't even be discussed beyond this site. It just doesn't make any sense. TO isn't selling Marner or Nylander because teams will low ball them. It'll be the same for St Louis which makes the trade just a fun thing for fans to discuss.

... why would you need to think that? the name doesn't have to be out there. if you ask for Parayko (STL certainly won't ask for Gardiner), that's what you have to offer. I specifically told you why that is so, so I don't see how it matters that "a name isn't out there"

Well you are clearly a delusional fan who doesn't see value in a 50 pt dman and think you need more in a trade than I offered even though harmonic a perfect example only took 1st and 2 2nds. I really don't care though

I am the delusional fan? I'm not a blues fan. if we were resorting to namecalling, I should call YOU the delusional fan. just check out how badly leavs fans are shitting on Gardiner constantly - and when trading him ,he's suddenly the biggest trade chip the leafs are willing to give up, getting another teams best prime players in return? sorry, but no. this is completely delusional (and you haven't even tried to refute my point)

Hamonic was a completely different situation too. NYI are not in "win now" mode like the blues, they trade prime players for picks. STL does not do that - they want to win. they have 0 reason to downgrade from Parayko to Gardiner for a few picks.

You just show in this post how uneducated you are in hockey. You think fans dictate the price of a player. Goodbye

that stops you from making a coherent argument? both this and the pathetic personal attack you're trying to launch are really sad. but good to know your opinion can safely be discarded
