If you are going to buy a player out, why buy out Brooks Laich and bury Cowen? If you buy out Cowen, you get a 600k cap credit.
And those deals are ******* amazing. Lou is a wizard. And getting Matthews or Laine would be a game changer

I seen Cowens name down there didnt even bother to look that its in the buried....just assumed it was a buy out lol.... ya that is messed up man.

I bought out Cowen to. The defense is pretty bad considering Leafs don't have a true number 1 dman yet, Reilly could become one but he's far from playing against leagues best players. The bottom Pairing D is bad to and the 4th line but the Leafs are still rebuilding so whatever lol.

True playoff team needs #1 Dman, #1 Center and #1 Goalie. Leafs don't have that.

Gee Olsen you ripped cry's team. Gotta believe this is much worse. Buyouts are expensive long term and the Leafs do have cap space now. Lupul is often injured so likely he will be at LTIR for which may be as cheap as a buyout. Gauthier isn't NHL ready, keep Laich. No Carrick and Corrado on defence? At least one of those guys should be on the team. Dermot has little chance of starting with Leafs next year. Valiev is probably well ahead of him on the depth chart. Probably Marner too.. Might only play 40 NHL games, and the WJC, but back to London would be a waste.
