Yeah, I don’t think he’d want to go to a Schitty team like Ottawa

Mostly because he's one of the worst skaters in the league, and I don't think he sees the game fast enough to make up for it. Maybe he's different in the regular season, but I've never liked what I've seen of him in the playoffs

Yeah agreed with you about the skating, but he’s a very solid d man. He’s good in their top 4 and has some offense to him also

Why would the Penguins give all those 1st round picks up for a rental player?
This team can't afford to sign him. Period.
They are not a trade destination for him at all.
He will end up going to a team with lots of cap space and probably never be on a winner. That's what happens when your contract demands are like 11-12 million a season. No good team can afford that.
His best fit is Vegas. He'd be a fool not to go there.

I think Rutherford likes their defense and will not make a move unless something too good to turn down comes along. Also it would be very hard to fit Karlsson in at $11 million AAV for 8 years. I think Rutherford knows this cores window is probably 4 more years, and the term to a lot of the contracts shows that, and there is no reason to break up this core right now.
