Hawks need to keep their first round picks...they've traded too many away in the last few years...this is a retool for the hawks...these picks could be high picks

Do you have a better idea? Hawks desperately need a LW and 1st line RHD. If they don't get both those pieces, you can count on them having a lottery draft pick next year while wasting another year of the aging core of Crawford, Keith, Toews, Seabs and Kane. They need to make moves now for 2 top line players or just do a total rebuild which they aren't going to do.

Honestly, what I think Stans doing (and what I would do at this point), is punting the season...get another high draft pick, make some trades at the deadline, gain assets (something the hawks desperately need to do) and reload next FA.

If we still believe in "one goal" , then this season is another transition year.

But thats just my opinion

And it hurts to say this. Because you're right....it's wasting another year of the core...but i just don't see anyway this team can compete for the cup next year....playoffs, yeah....but thats not the goal....right?

With Q's job on the line this season and maybe even Bowman, I just don't see that. I think Bowman is garbage and has been batting zero on his trade and FA attempts last year and this year to improve the team.

I know everyone thinks their jobs are on the line....but I'm not so sure they are....I think they had internal discussions, and they both have at least one year plus to prove the future is bright...but again, i could be wrong....

I guess to me, it all comes down to.... one goal ........ and if thats still the goal

I think "garbage" is a little unfair, but would you rather have Kenny Holland? Or Bergevin? Or god forbid, Chiarelli? It's easy to get lost in the "**** our GM he sucks" thing when you are on the downhill slide of a great run. Let's just wait and see what he does with his available cap space, and hope he doesn't get fucked too hard in any other trades, before we nail him to a board.

Somewhat unrelated, after the news of the insurance on Hossa's contract came out, and that AZ only has to pay $200,000 for that cap hit... How was that ******* idiot Dorion not absolutely SALIVATING over the idea of taking that contract??
