Tell me about the players coming to NJ.
O.K. I know somewhat about, but not the others
Problem will be that Cory Scheneider may not be able to start the season rehabbing a bum hip, will make a KK move tough
thx

Kylington centre piece of the trade here. Top 4 D prospect, been playing pro hockey since he was 16, he is now 21. Unfortunately for him, Giordano, Hanifin, Kulak and Valimaki are ahead of him on the depth chart.

Rittich outplayed Lack in CGY last season, he is actually the reason Lack was sent to NJ. He's a good backup. His numbers went down towards the end of the season as he was required to play more after Smith was injured. All in all, a decent rookie season for Rittich I'd say.

Hathaway is a bottom 6 forward at best. He is an agitator and can be effective in a limited role.

thx for the scouting report
they are all items the Devs need, the bsckup, maybe less so.
Did Kylington have issues, I thought I read where he slid in the draft. Read that is skating is superb. This is the kind of deal Shero needs to make, I had hoped he was able to get in on Hanifin, b4 u guys grabbed him. Greene will probably play our his contract but he's not a #1 even by our standards. Can OK jump in now?
thx

Kinkaid is a perfect target for CGY. I’ve been trying to build a deal that helps CGY get some cap relief and sends a few good players to NJ.

I’d prefer CGY kept Kylington around for a year or two yet to elevate his trade value or find him a roster position in CGY. He had a very solid year in the AHL last year.

I wonder if maybe you could include Kulak instead of Kylington though. I certainly would prefer that but I wonder how management would feel. Kylington certainly has a higher upside, but we know Kulak can be an every day NHL defenceman. We can’t say the same about any of Andersson, Valimaki and Kylington at the moment as they haven’t proven it

Andersson has proven it. And Valimaki has a very high likelihood of being a top 4 dman. I’d argue above 80% probability.

Kulak is proven and steady and a great contract price. But not as exciting in terms of upside.
