Colorado Avalanche - Cale Makar, Martin Kaut, Connor Timmins
Columbus Blue Jackets - Vitaly Abramov, Liam Foudy, Gabriel Carlsson
Dallas Stars - Miro Heiskanen, Jake Oettinger, Denis Guryanov, Ty Dellandrea
Detroit Red Wings - Filip Zadina, Michael Rasmussen, Joe Veleno
Edmonton Oilers - Evan Bouchard, Kailer Yamamoto, Ostap Safin, Stuart Skinner
Florida Panthers- Henrik Borgstrom, Owen Tippett, Grigori Denisenko, Aleksi Heponiemi
Los Angeles Kings - Gabe Vilardi, Cale Klague, Rasmus Kupari, Akil Thomas
Minnesota Wild - Jordan Greenway, Kirill Kaprisov, Luke Kunin
Montreal Canadiens - Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Ryan Poehling, Jacob Olofsson, Noah Juulsen
Nashville Predators - Eeli Tolvanen, Dante Fabbro, Frederic Allard

Vegas Golden Knights - Cody Glass, Erik Brannstrom, Nick Suzuki
Washington Capitals - Ilya Samsonov, Alexander Alexeyev, Lucas Johansen
Winnipeg Jets - Kristain Vesalainen, Eric Comrie, Sami Niku

I personally like Vancouver's prospect pool the most at the moment, in terms of both depth and high end prospects. Carolina has a lot of really good players in their system too, especially up front. Philly has a lot of impact players at every position, so I can see a case for them as well. Can't forget about the Blues stacked pool of forward prospects either. I'd like to hear your thoughts (but please don't say your own team unless you can make a legitimate case for it being better than all the rest).

Is the vote based on depth or quantity of high-caliber impact players?

I would probably interpret it to be overall depth. I can speak for Philadelphia's, not sure about everyone else's though.

When I think of best prospect pool, I usually think of whomever has the deepest amount of solid prospects, not just a couple of guys then a pile of long shots. Philadelphia and Tampa (definitely not biased, idk what you're talking about), would be my top two.

Definitely Vancouver by far. If Elias Pettersson ends up being what he's described at being he is one of the best prospects in the NHL. Plus Juolevi, Hughes, Gaudette, Demko, Dahlen, Lind, DiPietro, etc. This is going to be a good team in a few years.

Sabres have not only a good group of "A-Prospects", but also a lot of prospect depth. I know I have bias, so I want to do more analysis on other teams; but Buffalo's got a pretty nice pool right now.

Dahlin
Mittelstadt
Nylander
Guhle
Ullmark
O'Regan
Samuelsson
Pu
Borgen
Luukkonen
Asplund
Malone
Pilut
Hickey
Oglevie

I don't think its "by far". You could make the case that teams like Philadelphia and Tampa have a deeper system (they do) than Vancouvar.

Its hard to determine a ranking or prospect pool so i decided to split it in 5 tiers:
Elite: Good variety of potential Star power and Diversity and depth
Above Average: Either shows great depth or a variety of potential star power
Standard: Has what a regular prospect pool would have
Needs Improvement. lacking either star power or depth
Horrendous: Lacks both star power and depth

ELITE
Philadelphia Flyers
Vancouver Canucks
Carolina Hurricanes
Buffalo Sabres
St. Louis Blues
Tampa Bay Lightning

ABOVE AVERAGE
Dallas Stars
New York Rangers
Detroit Red Wings
New York Islanders

STANDARD:
Anaheim Ducks
Boston Bruins
Colorado Avalanche
Vegas Golden Knights
Toronto Maple Leafs
Ottawa Senators
Montreal Canadiens
Columbus Blue Jackets
Los Angeles Kings
Calgary Flames
Arizona Coyotes

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT:
Winnipeg Jets
Nashville Predators
Florida Panthers
Edmonton Oilers
Minnesota Wild

HORRENDOUS
Chicago Blackhawks
New Jersey Devils
Washington Capitals
Pittsburgh Penguins
San Jose Sharks

Thought that is the best way to determine prospect pools. Glad you liked it. If anyone has any concerns on certain teams i placed in certain categories; comment and ill justify

Vancouver has done a good job of stockpiling talent. Even though Jim Benning is terrible at contracts and signings, he's done a good job of drafting and trading for younger talent. That Burrows for Dahlen trade looks really good right now.

Detroit being "above average" doesn't make sense to me. They nailed this draft, but other than that, there's really nothing there. Zadina obviously has top line potential, Veleno and Rasmussen can be top six Cs, but that's all they've got. Berrgren is good, I see him with middle six upside. McIsaac is most likely a third pairing guy, a #4 if they're lucky. Svechnikov hasn't stuck yet either. The only notable defense prospects they have are Saarijarvi (who spent time in the ECHL this year), Cholowski (who hasn't been anything special since being drafted), and Hicketts (who shouldn't be much more than third pairing). It's a good start to rebuilding the system, but not what I would call above average by any means.

I think McIsaac was a steal this year. I see him beinga good 3/4. Some other hidden gems i can see sprouting soon are Hronek adn tyler Bertuzzi. Zadina, Rasmussen and Veleno can bring huge star power. Zadina has 70-80 point potential while Rasmussena and Veleno beinga 2/3 punch behind Larkin would be lethal

Bertuzzi is no longer a prospect, as he played 40 some games in the NHL this year. This is just a difference of opinion in terms of some of their guys, because I don't see any impact players outside of about 5 guys.

@Rodzikhockey93 why is the Blue Jackets prospect pool average? It's one of the worst.

Deeper then people think. Last draft they got the most athletic prospect of the draft, Abramov is going to be a freak, Carlsson looks to be a future stud. Thurkauf looks promising too. i would say they are probably the border line between needs improvement and average but they are definetly not one of the worse

I get what your saying but the Jackets also don't a have a good track record and there's no elites in their system and doubt the best player in the system becomes even a 1st liner. I always have feeling that certain prospect pools and just because of the team like the Oilers, the Islanders, the Blue Jackets and the Sabres will always be lower on my rankings just because of the teams.

What about Carlsson is a future stud? I don't think there's much more than a #4 guy there. He hasn't exactly impressed in the AHL or his short stint in the NHL this year. Abaramov is for sure their top guy and Davidsson is real nice, but I really don't see any high impact players after those two. And the Flames as standard? I can't think of a single high impact forward prospect they have. I see them as having three good D prospects and Parsons. What makes their system better than a team like Winnipeg, who has impact players at all positions?

Yall are high key sleepin on Florida. Theyve got high upside guys in Borgstrom, and Denisenko. Tippett should be a great impact player. Heponiemi is a niftly player who could fit into a top 6 role. Not much depth but in terms of high impact players theyve got that.

I don't know if i'm just saying this because i'm an Islanders fan, but the Isles have one of the very top prospect pools in the league, don't they? But i don't know much about the prospects, so who knows lol.

They’ve got a really nice group of high end players. Bellows, Wahlstrom, Dobson, Sorokin and Wilde are all legitimate players to me, which is great for a team in transition. They lack some depth, but their system is very strong at the top.
