Who should the hawks get for schmaltz

Description
If the hawks want a young scoring winger and or defenseman odds are that team would want schmaltz because he’s a center. Which trade is better? Let me know in the comments and or another scenario in which schmaltz gets traded.

I think the holdup on the CHI/CAR deal for Faulk that has been rumoured for a while now is Schmaltz. CHI won't want to part with him and rightfully so, but CAR is really in need of a potential top line C

That offer for Panarin is not close at all. CBJ has way too many middle 6 forwards as is already.

I think any trade for Panarin is gonna have to start with Debrincat as the initial piece in the trade.

And I really hope we don’t trade schmaltz just for the whole “win with the core now” cause then we will be completely depleated in top line potential prospects.

Moving Schmaltz should be out of the question for the hawks. I really don't want to move DeBrincat either. Now if the hawks drafted Wahlstrom, maybe I'd be more open to moving DeBrincat.

I'm with ya. Schmaltz should be unmovable. He just fits EVERYTHING they need right now. Youth, Speed, defensively responsible, ELC, Center...the PRO's go on and on. Anything of "FAIR" value is a HARD no from CHI's point of view. It just doesn't make sense. I'm a little more ok with moving a winger, but (2) years of Debrincat on an ELC is going to be VERY hard to get value back for.

I agree, the hawks have no real good young C with 1C potential besides Schmaltz, and no wingers with the 1RW potential like DeBrincat (He won't be the next Kane though). And if you look at the hawks prospects, there's really no forwards with the potential to crack the top 6.

As others have said, the Hawks should not part with Schmaltz - they have no centers until 25 that are top 6 quality expect for Schmaltz and no prospects projected to go that high currently. Sikura is listed as a center but did not play it at all in college and Edjsell was moved to wing pretty quick in Rockford (and also doesn't skate well enough to be top 6).

Moving Schmaltz would just create a hole they cannot fill unless via other trades but they'd have to give up other assets. Carolina doesn't make a good trading partner is the ask if Saad or Schmaltz.
